To use CodeLiner, you can follow the steps on our Instructions page.

I get this error: “Your Excel security may be too restrictive for CodeLiner. You must enable Trust Access to Visual Basic Projects before using CodeLiner.”

 I get this error: “Run-time error ‘6068’: Programmatic access to Visual Basic Project is not trusted.”

When I try to install CodeLiner, I get this error: “Setup cannot continue because some system files are out of date on your system. Click OK if you would like setup to update these files for you now. You will need to restart Windows before you can run setup again. Click cancel to exit setup without updating system files.”

Run Windows Update to ensure you have .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher.

I don’t see the toolbar/buttons after installing CodeLiner!

Does CodeLiner also work with 64-bit Office?

Version 4.0 works with 64-bit Excel and 64-bit Word. However, Microsoft Access must be 32-bit to work with CodeLiner.

Nothing happens when I click the buttons to add/remove code line numbers!

I get this error: “An error occurred while loading ‘Code Line Number Add-In’. Please contact Tumbling Waves Support. Error Code: V1.0-E1004-L34”

I don’t see the Options button on the toolbar. I want to set custom line numbering options.

The Options for line numbering feature is only available in version 6.0 and higher. Please ensure you have installed the latest version.

I am having other issues. I can’t get this to work!
